San Francisco’s JROTC reprieved

The San Francisco Board of Education gave the City’s Junior ROTC program a one year reprieve. That’s good, and a lot can happen in a year (one hopes). I found interesting, in a disgusted way, the comment from one of those trying to destroy JROTC:

Several people spoke out against the extension, reiterating the argument made last year that JROTC is a military recruitment tool.

“I’m really disappointed,” said Martha Hubert, a member of Code Pink who opposed the extension. Students “should have a choice of better things to do.”

It doesn’t seem to occur to her that the citizens of a free nation should have a right to have access to their military, and that their military should have a non-coercive right to have access to them. True to the liberal creed, she wants to shut down any opposition to her point of view.

  1. The true fascists have always been of the Left.

  2. Huh? They should “have a choice” by depriving them of a choice? Typical left-wing double speak.

  3. This is good news and thanks for reporting it. As an aside, I have a lot of trouble these days labeling the left as liberals. They have jettisoned what I perceive to be the defining charachteristics of classical liberalism, intellectual honesty and actively pushing freedom of speech in search of greater truths, and now are authoritarian – seeking to control thoughts, speech, and access to contrary ideas. How does one label such people. Neo-liberal, maybe?

  4. I always thought that it was a little silly of the liberals to want to get rid of (J)ROTC. If I was a liberal (which I am not by a long shot) I would want the officer training to occur someplace where I would have some impact on it, rather than have them isolated in a military only environment. But then again, those sorts of thoughts might actually take some analysis and calm, rational thinking.
    Enough said

  5. Neo-liberal is as ill defined, or maybe better considered, as internally confusing as Neo-con. A more accurate label might be Neo-communist, with all the militantly centrally controlled socialist policies the term suggests.

They may start off somewhere thereabouts, but fascists don’t like the Left anymore than we do. In fact, just like siblings can hate each other horribly but defend each other if a foreigner comes in and insults one of them, so it is the same with the family of the Left.

National socialism will even team up with Communism if the hated capitalists appear to be too much to handle alone.

It just so happens that fascists believe socialists are easier to purge than capitalists. While communists believe capitalists will buy the rople used to hang them with.

It is not so much “opposition” as it is “competition”. Socialists don’t want to acknowledge that they are absolutely ruthless against competitors. That would make them into something like capitalists, which they hate and don’t want to be compared to such.

The military competes for the lives of the next generation, from which it will mold and craft something stronger and more productive. Code Pink also wants the lives of the next generation, except their product differs from the quality of the US military. Thus, competition. But to the Left, it is not competition; for who would dare to compete against the Enlightened and All Wise aristocrats Born to Rule? There is only one way to do things, to the Left. All others are failures. They don’t even rank as “competition”, simply as obstacles.

Obstacles to be destroyed as Code Pink has demonstrated.

Many people see the purported non-violence (harmonious community valued) ideology of socialism and think that such folks are cuddly little cuties. However, while socialism does not seek to emulate the physical violence of national socialism, democratic socialism is very good at emotional violence and indirect intimidation (through gov). Obviously in a fair fight, National Socialism would wipe the floor with Democratic Socialism.

That is cause they are fake liberals. Obviously trying to call an imitation fakery what you would call a genuine article, would be troublesome.

Call them by what they call themselves. Democratic Socialists and people for the progress of human misery. Okay, the former if not the latter.

You have your Democratic Socialists, your National Socialists, and your Communists.

All are based upon a social construct where the rich and powerful are at the top and the weak suffer what they must at the bottom.
