Interesting take on the subject

I read the British papers regularly, and know that, for months, they’ve kept on the front page the story of Madeleine McCann, the four year old who vanished in Portugal. I’d assumed that the story’s continued visibility arose for two reasons: what a pretty little girl Madeleine is, and what a good looking, photogenic woman her mother is. Otherwise, I have no doubt but that the story would have slipped entirely off the radar. However, if you’ve been keeping up with the story, you also know that the Portuguese police have floated the idea that Madeleine’s parents accidentally killed her, and then engaged in an elaborate cover-up. As to that, Madeleine’s mother knows where to place the blame:

The mother of missing British 4-year-old Madeleine McCann believes she’s being persecuted because of her looks, and thinks that if she “had a bigger bosom and looked more maternal, people would be more sympathetic,” a London newspaper reported Tuesday.

The parents of Kate McCann, in a remarkable interview in the Liverpool Daily Post, said their daughter “feels persecuted, not by the general public who have been extremely supportive, but by some sections of the media.”

I actually don’t have a comment to make.  I just wonder if there’s any truth to Kate’s claims.

  1. No, no – the bosom has nothing to do with it: she needs a fatter ass.
