Trackbacks

If you’re thinking of doing a trackback to one of my posts, you need to click on permalink. Then, scroll down to the bottom of the post, where you’ll see a little message that says: ” This entry was posted on [date] and [time] and is filed under [categories]. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0 feed. You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. Edit this entry.” “Trackback” will be hyperlinked. Right click on “trackback” and then click on “copy link location.” And there should be your trackback URL.

Let me know if this is all wrong and I’ll try to figure out the right answer.

  1. Learning to Learn. I have never been able to understand how the primary educational institutions have never realized that learning is a skill. Many years ago I taught industrial arts, auto shop. Part of the industrial arts teacher training was the discussion of learning through the hands as well as the eyes and ears. Strangely, the fact that industrial arts had the hands as well as the eyes and ears which differentiated it from normal primary education never bled into the brain of the system. People learn differently. So why not teach learning to learn? Ignoring the process of learning defies rational intelligence.
