Are parents also remiss in not taking the time to talk things out w/their children and perhaps find it easier to use the muscle of threatening the school if junior is hurt from a game of tag? It takes time and sacrifice to 'be there' which is why being a homemaker is a choice which only the next generation will prove a noble one.

Essay short on complex nuances and is long on short-handed stereotypes.Of course we don't allow idiots(idiots will be idiots)to continue playing harmfully .We got one in the Whitehouse playing tag with peoples lifes already.Do we need to raise another generation of the above? Of course you should ban tag if it is dangerous.Just a minute maybe tag is enevitable like war and we should let the little "idiots will be idiots" practise maiming peoples future.Oh I see your point now ! Hmmm. Nah don't think so.

Excellently well observed. But we're deep into the movement to destroy boyhood (and by extension, manhood) and to treat children as infinitely breakable and not at all repairable. It will take some radical measures to undo the damage. The one I favor is as complete a boycott of the government-run schools, and anything that emanates from them, as Americans can manage.

I am quite concerned about stories like this. It seems that every day I read about another rule in which we make it harder to teach our children how to function in the world.
