Ironies of history

1. “How odd of God to choose the Jews.” — William Norman Ewer (1885-1976), British journalist, poet, and Soviet spy.

2. “But not so odd, As those who choose, A Jewish God, Yet spurn the Jews.” Reply by Cecil Brown or Ogden Nash.

3. Muslims see Jews as descendants of apes and pigs.

4. Islam is a derivative religion, based upon Judaism.

5. Mr. Spock was right when he said humans are illogical. Sadly, today’s version of illogic may sound the death knell for millions of people.

UPDATE:  Robert Spencer, who is blogging the Koran, today takes on yet another Koranic verse attacking the Jews.  And, by the way, for those who like to point out that the Bible has a lot of verses about Jews attacking other tribes, races, or nations, please keep in mind that (a) the Jews don’t do that anymore, since they fight only defensively against an enemy outspoken in its efforts to destroy both Israel and the Jews and (b) the Jewish enemies named in the Bible vanished from the earth more than 2000 years ago.  In other words, the Bible, unlike the Koran, is no longer a mandate to attack any living ethnic, religious or geographic groups.
