ha ha ha ha Looks like the Party directive for this week DEMANDED that Apparatchik Soldiers, like our Bookworm, express their loyalty to the Party by spreading the “Europe hates us!” theme. Not to be missed is CBN’s “on message” kowtow to Party requirements:

It is not unexpected, Book. After all, Europe is just stealing a march from the Palestinian propaganda masters. They just don’t have the fire, the will, or the strength to be their equal. But regardless of that slowdown, the simple techniques used to create hate of Jews and of America in the Middle East works wonders in a similar situation in Europe. Europeans are envious of American success and don’t want to take responsibility for their own failures of socialism, communism, and etc. Does that sound familiar, Book?
Psychologically, of course, the true believers (suicide bombers) of the ME and the social-lite classes of Europe are diametrically different, yet their psychology runs pretty much the same because regardless of how different they are to each other they are still human. Sure, the Europeans have gone down the path of decadence and obscene security due to American firepower, but psychologically they have just as much inferiority complexes as the Middle Easterners with their violence, lack of food/water, lack of prosperity/wealth and lack of infrastructure.
The economic class difference between Arabia and Europe could not be anymore different. Yet because on both continents there are still humans, you have the same methods of control being practiced. Certainly when I say psychological profiles, I mean the psychological profiles of the controllers and elites in ME and Europe. It is the elites, the corrupt bureacrats so to speak, and their socialite friends that have the most to benefit from making a fake external enemy, Jews or Ameris, in order to distract Germans from their own economic and political problems. Hitler did great with it once, why not again in Arabia? Why not again in Europe?
Individuals folks live and die, but the aristocrats continue on forever. They are not real elites of course, except for perhaps in the field of wealth. Elite Exploiters of the Downtrodden; could be a catchy title. This is to separate them from the true elite, those men and women who are at the frontiers of human power, discipline, control, ingenuity, and flexibility.
You notice that bit about Guantanomo, Book? It is because they sense a weakness there, and it is a true weakness because they keep exploiting and Bush keeps showing them that while it hurts, he won’t do anything about it. A real weakness, some spot you can’t defend. And Bush’s unwillingness to defend against such strikes, basically counts as “cannot” in the minds of our enemies. Perception becomes reality, because they will continue to strike at a weak spot until the cavity grows larger. This is not consistent with what Don said about the media’s propaganda campaign being only about reporting what is news worthy. Regardless of whether it applies to the US media or just the European media; or even the international media.
Some people look at this and want to counter the lies and disinformation with the truth. But I don’t believe that that by itself is effective. It is why I said that debunking is not enough to the folks trying to debunk the whole Palestinian boy being shot… you know the one that was faked by Pallywood (imitation of Hollywood, illusion appearing as real). I say the only way to fight propaganda is with propaganda, other specifically counter-propaganda. Most people know it as fighting fire with fire, but that saying is counter-intuitive and not all that accurate. For example, California firefighters don’t use “fire” to fight “fire”, meaning pour fire and flames unto fire and the fire goes out…. No. They use fire indirectly, to destroy the fuel source of the fire. They use a force of destruction, but productively and creatively. They use destruction to destroy…. destruction, you see.
Such is the basic principle behind counter-propaganda. Using the principles of propaganda and psychological control, to break the psychological control of a target population, such as Palestine or just Europe.
Counter-insurgency is also true, although morally it is a bit of a quagmire if you start debating it. Folks like JImbo more or less know what works, but the debate about the morality and what not isn’t really a priority. Meaning, if you look at the base of counter-insurgency, what it is is blowing up civilians and children in order to defeat the human shield techniques of an insurgency. This insurgency. The one we are fighting more or less globally. I’ll avoid the numerous different faction titles because I want to keep it simple, so I’ll group them all under the generic title of insurgency, as in counter-insurgency. To go back to the point, it is a principle. Counter-insurgency isn’t just about blowing up civilians and children, what it is about is using the methods of insurgency to break insurgencies. And therein lies the morality debate, which severely hampers the operation of counter-insurgency if it is conducted in parallel with the operation itself. Most people in the US are already used to the idea that in war, you try to kill the enemy and the enemy tries to kill you. Meaning, you break the enemy’s ability to kill, by killing and using killing. Yet the same principle applied to insurgencies, suddenly has people up in arms, and over at GitMo. Even for the great majority of people that are neutral on this subject, lack of certainty over the morality allows propagandists to grab a beach head and put down control rods in people’s minds and imaginations. It is why the European anti-American and the Palestinian anti-Israeli propaganda are so effective. People simply do not accept the core of Meta-Golden ethics, and even if they did, they still believe their side, meaning European or Arabic, are the good guys. You can justify a lot of bad things for people if you think you are the good guys and that your targets are bad people; they accuse America of doing this but… well if they were conscientious propagandists then they would know that Europe and Arabs are projecting when they say that America is dehumanizing people.
The European situation is still pretty weak. If you look at Palestine, you’ll notice that there’s a lot of people dying after being accused of collaborating with Jews or Americans. That’s hardcore and very effective top down control. Propaganda can only do so much. It cannot really “make” you to do anything, it can only make it more likely that you will believe something. But compared to physical intimidation, threats, and executions, it is really really poor at making people do things. This is why France was able to elect Sarko rather than Sego. The level of intimidation and Fascism hasn’t gotten to the point where it is effective at national policy. No Taliban state nor Hamas structure… yet.
People have said that they believe Europe will go fascist on their illegal immigrants. I disagreed, not because I believed in the wisdom and compassion of Europeans, but because I found it a lot easier for Europe to go fascist on Americans rather than on their Ayrabs, who could and would actually fight back.
Hitler didn’t target the Jews cause every Jew would blow themselves up before being captured. Europe’s behavior leads me to believe that they will pick on the weakest faction around, the weak horse. America may indeed become that weak horse in time. For now, it is undecided, what with Sarko and Iraq Surge and Petraeus. Whether America is the strong horse, and thus people are afraid to attack us and insult us, or whether America becomes the weak horse in which everyone will kick and abuse for the fun of it, is still undecided.
Whether more Europeans will come to respect America or not, will always probably depend upon the exercise regime of the US military. Less exercise means less chances for people to see the true US, leaving the propagandists plenty of room to make stuff up as they go along. More exercises at least forces propagandists to stay to a script, even if it is a hacked and loaded script. Still, as a defense measure, it’s not very effective. Eventually, regardless of what wars the US is in or not in, the anti-American propagandists will adapt and come up with a weapon that hurts America more. Until you get rid of the propagandists directly, you’ll always be attacked.
Sort of Al Anbar. Killing terrorists isn’t enough, you have to get rid of them permanently.
I can’t help but think that the growing “Muslification” of Europe will eventually bring the ethnic europeans out of their daydream and realize that the only shield against Islamofascism is US. I know I am expecting them to realize that their dismayingly innate anti-semitism is actually aiding the Islamists in the destruction of current European society, but I guess I am hoping that things like “honor killings” will finally clarify the difference between civilization and barbarism. In the meantime, let’s increase the DOD’s budget.
Al
Nothing new here. Move along.
Much of “Old Europe” hated us because we selfishly delayed our entry into WWII; when we finally entered, many Brits hated us because our troops were “occupying” their country. Finally, as we threw the Nazis out of Western Europe and rebuilt those countries we were loved–for a time. But, as the U.S. continued on an acending trajectory while theirs peaked and trended downward, they reverted to form.
If Americans expect love from the world, we are destined for disappointment. We should be able to tolerate disdain so long as our “friends” respect us and potential enemies fear us.
Ray and Dave have done a tremendous job of exposing the hypocrisy of the German media. The anti-Americanism is even worse than they report because it is impossible to cover and translate all the TV news and talk shows; snarky comments pop up in the most unlikely places. Amerikanische Verhaeltnisse (American circumstanses) are an ever present threat warned against regularly in political speeches. Of course, there is a bit of a brain drain from Germany to the US, so I guess not everyone finds ou Verhaeltnisse so bad.
“The anti-Americanism is even worse than they report ”
hahaha.. what a joke. Ray (& David) are weirdos… nothing more
David’s comment reminded me of Book’s Watcher’s council link to http://www.anwyn.com/2007/06/25/muslim-speaks-at-my-church-calls-me-naive-also-tough/
I asked him about Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the former Dutch MP, former Muslim and self-described “Muslim atheist” who left Holland after being evicted from her apartment so that her neighbors would be safer from Islamic threats to her life. He responded that her situation is “contrived,” that she’s not in any danger, “it’s all to sell books,” “you watch,” she’ll live long and make lots of money. And on further reflection, he decided that I am “naive” for believing her tales. Who would bother with her, he asked rhetorically.
It is all just made up as they say, a manufactured lie for entertainment value.
