A few days ago I blogged about the warped perspectives that permeate the American Left. Frequent commenter D. Reid sent me a link to a YouTube video that reminds us that these warped perspectives — perspectives that have an entire generation of Americans look upon free countries with loathing and see capitalism and democracy as failures that can only be cured by the strong hand of a totalitarian government — did not happen accidentally. Instead, as a former KGB operative explains, the damaged thinking that characterizes so many Americans, especially those in academia, was deliberately planted over several generations as part of the Communist effort during the Cold War:

Book,
Thanks.

I have been warning of Communism for three generations. We old fighters against the Communists/Leftists tried to warn the country back in the 50’s and 60’s — but we were far too few and powerless. The Media was and is against America. The majority of rank and file Americans are gullible and simply don’t think…….
They absorb… and usually their diet is all the wrong stuff — spoon fed pablum from the left..
The seed of Communism, Nazism and leftism is germinating at a faster rate than the seed of freedom we attempted to plant. I fear for my grandchildren and their children and our nation.

A deliberate legacy by those who would squander our freedoms.
The Communist, Socialist, Nazi, Leftist legacy is certainly not accidental!

That Youtube guy you got the video from has a really weird collection of video’s. I’m a little worried he is a Nazi.
Oh, his youtube channel name is Hadden88. 88 is a code for Waffen SS.
Leftism is a religion, that does not respond to facts, ok. I’m sure there was some promotion of it by the KGB, but I don’t really believe that guy, I think the left brainwashed itself. Also, a Google search for that KGB guy turned up nada!
That is really interesting, Scott. It never occurred to me to search the guy who posted the video. I’ll do that in future. thanks for bringing this to my attention. (Interesting too about 88 being code for the SS. The only numeric code I knew of was 666!)
He doesn’t have to be a Nazi to collect films about the Nazis.
Nazis and Communists: same thugs – different gang colors!Let’s not split hairs, here. YM is right!
Personally, there’s a lot of good stuff concerning propaganda a person may learn from the Soviets. They had some of the widest ranging propaganda networks and apparatus of the 20th century, and their techniques at the dawn of the Information Age, is very applicable to our 21st century.
As you can see, propaganda and psychological warfare has many facets and may be used many many times, without requiring a reload or a delay before being used again. It is slow in getting setup, sure, but all things require setup time. The Soviets never fired a nuclear weapon at a US target, true, but that doesn’t mean they were just jacking off during the Cold War, people.
And that is why I brought up the subject concerning NBC weapon limitations as opposed to the efficiency and efficacy of propaganda and psychological warfare techniques.
If nuclear weapons were so powerful as they were said to be, Book, then why wasn’t one fired? What is power if it is not used? And if psychological and propaganda weapons are so weak, Book, how come they were able to do things that the Soviet’s unused nukes didn’t? You see, that’s the difference between weapon limitations. For NBC weapons, the limitation is so high that it literally makes the weapon unusable, and if a weapon is unusable Book, then does it really matter how powerful it is?
I actually skipped this youtube video, Book, and only watched it now because I was doing a post and linked to your anti-Americanism tag posts.
Laer knows what my solution is to the “can’t get rid of them” problem with corrupt bureacrats. Of course, reality is still true. Bush can’t get rid of them, and that’s a fact. Regardless of what I might like or not like.

They removed the poster’s youtube videos of Yuri, but you can find the first two segments at my blog post listed in as a pingback. There was actually a second part to Yuri’s segment shown here, that was shown in another vid. This is of course, only a small selection of the interview with Yuri Bezmenov
