We hear endlessly about every hang nail that occurs in the Gaza region, not to mention the more interesting stories about Hama-side attacks in which Hamas manages to take out its own people. Funnily enough, the media tends to give scant attention to the daily Qassam quota dropping on Israel, at ever increasing rates:
More than 30 Qassams fall on Negev city in 24-hour span. 70-year-old woman moderately-to-seriously wounded in late afternoon barrage. Schools remain closed while dozens of residents flee city to hotels out of rocket range funded by billionaire Arcady Gaydamak
Arab attacks on Jews, unless they’re the horrific suicide bomb attacks that take apart restaurants and buses, tend not to be newsworthy.

I suppose the Qassam rockets falling on Israeli cities are like the Peugeots and Renaults burning outside Paris. They don’t really count. Nonevents.
If only someone could make sense of the Who’s on first skit by Abbott and Costello and the Chicken- Egg dilemma then the Arab-Jew imbroglio would be easy to solve.
ps If you told a bunch of people that you had a stack of violent pictures and another stack of good deed pictures which stack would they dive into? Quassam rockets don’t sell newspapers.
All things being equal and relative Hamas and Fatah devour one another to see who controls the Palestian security forces somewhat like the Democrats and Republicans of America sqabbling.FUNNY how that works !
ps Who are we kidding it is not funny at all.It is all about power and control, jobs, who makes the laws and controls the purse.Ho hum the more things change the more they remain the same.
BW,
I believe swampacreage’s understanding of human nature needs a refresher course. I wrote on human nature at my own jackalope.blogspot.com just yesterday.
Okay, Swampy, you lost me. Are you really suggesting that lobbing rockets at Isreal is a “good deed”?
I don’t really care about who is lobbing rockets at whom. All I care about, and all I ever really cared about, is who dies and who lives.
Only in self-defence Donkeyote, only in self defence.Just teasing about the moniker DQ.Please disqualify my name calling.
You know how tough it is “tilting at windmills”on this blog !
