Jews, foolishly, still back the Democratic party by overwhelming numbers. I doubt that anything will get them to change their minds, including Bill Clinton’s most recent statement about why nuclear weapons in Arab hands are a bad thing. Thus, while speaking at a Harvard Kennedy School of Government conference, former Pres. Clinton offered the following insight about Israel and nuclear annihilation:
He said he was proud of his role in promoting negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. “I didn’t consider it a failure,” he said. “I thought we were closer to peace than ever before. At least everybody knows what a peace agreement will look like.”
Mr. Clinton also spoke of the danger of Iran developing a nuclear weapon, saying he was more worried about a terrorist group obtaining an Iranian bomb than the Islamic Republic using it itself. “Maybe some Iranian leader would think, maybe I can nuke Israel … but we can handle that with a phone call,” he said. “If a nuclear bomb ever exploded in the Middle East, even if it wiped out Israel, the main victims eventually would be all the Muslims around it who would be killed in the nuclear fallout.”
What guy. Who cares about the dead Jews? It’s the poor Muslims who will suffer. There’s no doubt that, factually, Mr. Clinton is correct that, in terms of numbers, more Muslims than Jews will suffer from a nuclear explosion, especially because Jews, being at the epicenter, will be instantly incinerated, while Muslims on the periphery will have to deal with long-term fallout. However, if he thinks that tellings Muslims that their actions will negatively affect other Muslims is a way to stop the killing, he hasn’t been paying much attention to the news lately. Whether one looks at Iraq or the Sudan, or any other predominantly Muslim area, it’s apparent that, in the hierarchy of things, killing the “wrong” Muslims is right up there with the fanatic Muslim’s delight in taking out Jews and Americans. Further, even if the “right” Muslims get caught in the atomic crossfire, your average jihadist can always console himself with the fact that they died, by the millions, for a good cause.
Clinton has proven himself to be crude, dumb and naive, which is pretty impressive for a one paragraph remark. The scary thing, of course, is that he’s speaking to an audience that no doubt wholeheartedly agrees with him in all respects, based upon the same willful ignorance and subliminal hostility.
Hat tip: American Thinker

“Crude, dumb, and naive”–I would like to say that I couldn’t agree more; however, the scary part is that Clinton is NOT dumb. Would that he were!
I have to disagree with you here, Book. I don’t think Clinton is crude, he just believes what he says. Because part of Clinton’s charm is he is what you want him to be. A mirror effect from an abusive relationship with his father, perhaps, where if you acted wrongly based upon what you saw of his mood, you would get beat.
All politicians are kind of chameleon like that, but Clinton brought it to the standard of an Art, and quite a skill it was. To the extent that he actually believes what he says, most of the time anyways.
I know him for what he is, yet when Clinton goes into a speech and transforms, I am like “This is Clinton?”.
Clinton, like all narcissists I think, can’t really put themselves into another person’s shoes and think of things the way they would. So to Clinton, the idea that anyone would sacrifice millions for a “cause” is alien to him. Because narcissists want to live, and the idea that folks want to “die” is… well alien.

I guess I’m much less afraid of Mr. Clinton (I knew several people just like him in high school) than I am of the fact that our society has got to the place where such a man can be elected President twice. Furthermore, after everything, there are still millions who are eager to attend his events and give him (and his wife) money to keep them, not just in the public eye, but in POWER.
We’re doomed.
“I feel your pain” ! That’s gotta be up there with “Ask not”,”Buck stops”,and “nothing to fear but”
Conservasaurs need better spin doctors !
The conservasaurs lack spin win. For example Bushie one “read my lips,no new taxes “(blatant lie).
Bushie 2 “Bring em on “(now that is just High Noon plain(pun indended) dumb).
I meant to spell indended without the t. Yes I did !
I’m impressed, SA. I didn’t know you meant to spell.
Increasingly Democrats seem to rely on very crude scare tactics to keep their slave voter populations in line. With Jews it’s the specter of Scary Christians — remember the air of glee which liberal pundits had when talking about the prospect of Gibson’s _Passion of the Christ_ inspiring antisemitic violence among Christians? None resulted, but that didn’t stop them from talking about it.
But I do get the sense that there are more Jews getting more than a little fed up. The blatant anti-Israel and anti-Semitic tone of the moonbat Left is infecting the Democratic party as a whole, and many Jews are starting to take note.
Prediction: as the 2008 elections approach we can expect a _major_ push in the media about the dangers of right-wing neonazi groups in America and their ties to fundamentalist Christianity. I frankly wouldn’t be surprised if they even staged something — a synagogue burning, perhaps. It worked with black voters in the 1990s.
