Lovely thoughts from the Left

One of the most popular posts at WordPress today is musically entitled “America — F*** YOU.“  It’s an interesting post in that it’s a microcosom of everything that’s ugly about today’s Left.  This strain has always lived in the fringe Left, but it’s worth noting now, as these views move closer and closer to the Center.  The post is a rant that manages to combine anti-Americanism, anti-Semitism, and anti-Christianity in one sustained spew of bile:

America, I hate you.

From your fucked up values and religious whacks like your president, to your arrogant “I love oil” nature and your love for attempting to f*** other countries up with your “superior” defence force. I hate the way you think that America is responsible for all good in this world. You’re not.

You did not invent human rights, you did not invent sliced bread, or the wheel, AND JESUS WAS NOT BORN IN TEXAS. NOR WAS HE WHITE.

AND HE DID NOT SLEEP WITH YOUR SISTER. Although I’m sure you did.

I hate you so much that I want to draw a tan^-1(1degree) with my fist to your face. (NO, YOU DID NOT INVENT TRIANGLES)

I hate how you complain about the price of oil, while you rape your planet with your fat ass, McDonald’s eating, gas guzzling f*** Hummers of hell.

***

I hate your conservative, Jewish-owned media with your O’Reillys and Coulters spouting pro-Bush, Christian (figure that?) propaganda, and telling you that Bush taking away your freedom is the greatest liberty you will ever receive.

***

And I hate your disgusting superiority complex, segregating all races except Americans (ye, that’s a race) and f***ing over your neighbours to the south by not allowing them to speak Spanish, and thinking that you are far better than Canada. You’re not.

Etc.  No argument, no logic, no facts.  Just one long sustained scream.  Because it’s garnered a lot of traffic, one might assume that this charming missive to America was simply a publicity ploy, aimed at getting attention.  However, that assumption is quickly destroyed by taking a look at the blog’s other posts, which are equally hostile, although not quite so incoherent, when it comes to attacking America and faith.

This is just one person, of course, and America has, at all times, had its haters.  Thinking about it, though, this is kind of a new type of hate.  In the past, those professing hate professed their hatred under an “I love America” banner, as in “I love America, and fear that it’s being destroyed by [blacks/Jews/Catholics/Protestants/Asians/Women/Men/Gays/Straight people/ etc.”  Here, we have someone who has completely abandoned the pretence that he or she actually has any residual fondness for the country itself or for anything it stands for.

Rather typically, too, for the New Left, the post doesn’t offer any alternative vision for America.  The writer hates it, absolutely hates it, and hates everything it stands for, and hates faith, and hates Jews, and hates hamburgers, and hates the media, etc.  But there’s nothing constructive here.  There are no convictions, no ideas (no matter how foul they might be).  In this regard, the writer has sunk even lower than the traditional 20th Century bad guys (Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, the KKK, and that ilk), all of whom had a sustained utopian vision, whether it was one of socialist or Aryan purity.  This guy offers nothing.  There’s no black flag around which to rally.  Here be nihilism and it’s not pretty.

  1. Dear Book, I claim no great insight or profundity or learning, but it seems to me that the 20th Century, with its world wars, its monstrous ideologies of National Socialism and Communism, was simply the most destructive, corrosive century in human history, and that for a long time we must live with, and perhaps die with, its legacy of nihilism, barbarity and primitive tribalism. In the words of Tom Wolfe (writing about Nietschze), we live in a time of “universal skepticism, cynicism, irony, and contempt.” You’re quite right: nothing to rally around in that screed, a meaningless totem, meaningless dialog in an absurdist play, constantly rehearsed, never performed, a tale told by an idiot.

  2. What a vulgar little boy. Such verbiage = noise.
    Nothing more.

  3. [...] Thanks to Bookworm I think we have another runner-up for the posterboy of the left. Check out this guys ramblings: America, I hate you. [...]

  4. There is a part of me that will always wish that there was a way to snatch these people, strap on a parachute and drop them into the NOT-U.S. Utopia. Like, Darfur,

  5. WELL said, Zhombre. Reading about Bill Maher’s venom at NEWSBusters– or checking that super link ‘erp’ provided recently to the ‘hate schools’ of the Left somehow here in America!..
I can see what awfulness we humans have wrought.

All the -ism’s afflicting us (as you catalogue) have come from the failures of our basic Western beliefs.

And that discord has summoned a darker Devil with which to deal.

  6. This guy explicitly expresses a theme that’s all too common in Leftist “arguments”: a deeply psychological primal fear that they will be forced to publicly acknowledge the intrinsic freedom and unprecedented prosperity found in the US.

How many times have we all seen a spittle-flecked screed that contained something like this: “…yeah, those Marines risked their lives to rescue those old Iraqi women caught in a cross-fire; and yeah, the US put an end to the public execution of women in Afghan soccer stadiums; but…don’t you dare expect me to say that this stinking country has accomplished anything worthwhile.”

He says, “…you did not invent human rights…”. Sorry, but we very nearly did. Certainly the Magna Carta was precedent-setting, but our 217 year old Constitution matches up pretty well with anyone else’s in the matter of guaranteed liberties.

I bet this guy was raised on Howard Zinn’s People’s History of America. The fact that this Marxist deconstruction of American success has sold millions of copies and found itself on countless professors’ reading lists is deeply depressing.

Maybe we really are victims of our own success.

  7. Way to overreact over a humourous article that was neither meant to have any substance of fact, nor needed it.

  8. I would also like for you to point out my anti-semitism. It seems that anything criticising Jews or even Israel today is considered racist.

  9. Perhaps you would like to take the time to read the comments in Junamans post…
MOST OF THEM AGREE with his so called ugly blog. The fact is America has more haters today than ever. They are a different type of hater too. They do not hate you for your power and they do not fear you. They simply hate you and everything about you because you have become the most hatable place on the planet…everything about you draws ridicule!

we do not need to justify our hatreds towards america as we have fast become the majority of the world. You on the other hand{the minority defending your glutinous place} should probably try to justify how you can so blindy love a place that is fraught with corruption and greed.

Go ahead and bag my opinions here but just you remember these “left wing” ideas are indeed fast becoming the norm.

  10. The embeciles have replied. “… the minority defending your glutinous place …” “Go ahead and bag my opinions …” “neither meants to have any substance of fact, nor needed it …” Illiterate bastards too.

  11. Make that imbeciles.

  12. jg, … checking that super link ‘erp’ provided … Super link? Please refresh my memory.

I know the adage about keeping your friends near and your enemies nearer, but reading these hateful screeds can’t be good for our health.

Let’s just agree they’re deranged and nothing useful can be learned from them and not give them any more exposure than they already get from the lunatic side of the blogosphere.

There’s no reason to think Popal (see post above) reads these blogs, but I think they’re a direct or indirect influence on people on the edge like this crazed “motorist” whose actions paralyzed a complete stranger who will now bear the consequences of his momentary lapse for the rest of her life. Reading about this has depressed me greatly.

Perhaps it also touched the hearts of the Afghan community who have publicly denounced terrorism may lead the way for other Moslems who are human beings first and religious fanatics second to come forward with similar sentiments.

    Allah Akbar.

  13. Two thoughts:

“gas guzzling f*** Hummers of hell”

    1) I seem to see lots of gas guzzling SUV’s with liberal bumper stickers on them–I guess they don’t count.

    2) I’m glad I’m on the side that unabashedly believes in (and practices) gun ownership.

  14. erp: ” Super link? Please refresh my memory. ”

Your comment and link are below. The very long CJ article you cite is one of those memorable in-depth pieces that should be pulled out to show unbelieving Americans how bad today’s ‘education’ can be.
    Thanks for bringing it up.

“From the a href=”http://www.city-journal.org/html/16_3_ed_school.html”>City Journal is a piece that could be parody, but unfortunately isn’t. It’s unthinkable that the same radicals who destroyed our schools are still at it. We’ve not won the battle and being polite, while the desired norm in most of the time, may not be the way to win this fight.

I literally got sick reading this article.a

  15. Kevin: hang on to your guns with glutinous zeal.

  16. Dang straight! It is so important that the framers included it as the second right in our Bill of Rights. Penn and Teller offer some wonderful (and humorous) insight on gun control at:

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8490506794163083426

  17. Ah so. Thanks. jg.

  18. Bookworm,

You are right on as always. This is sadly another in a continuing litany of examples of the hard left that has now become the center left. I came across a website for recently fired Air America radio host Mike Malloy and was saddened but not surprised by the depths the left will go when it comes to exploiting tragedy and hate for personal and political gain. Malloy hosts a video that exploits 9/11 and fallen soldiers in his effort to blame the Bush administration for 9/11. The video is interspersed with Bush = Hitler graphics and many superimposed images that are meant to equate the right as evil corporate villains.

It is truly sick but a must see for those who don’t understand what the left has become.

I captured the vid and wrote about it here

  19. Mike Malloy used to be a Chicago talk show host. He outed himself for the poor excuse of a human being that he is when he asked his listeners to stop donating to the American Red Cross because Elizabeth Dole, its head at the time, was married to Republican Bob Dole. As the saying goes, Malloy may be a person but he is not a human being. I wouldn’t dwell too long in their cess-pool psychology, lest you become infected.

  20. With regards to Webloggin’s link–how the heck does one get fired from Air America?!? I can’t begin to imagine what words or actions are deemed so extreme as to constitute a firing offense to the lefties. It boggles the mind.

  21. Yes, it’s comparable to being bounced from a leper colony.

  22. This is the essence of leftism: hate.
    That’s why I stopped being a liberal.

  23. Worthy phrase: “Malloy may be a person but he is not a human being.”

  24. Oh Malloy is a human being, if he wasn’t, he couldn’t be made to feel pain nor could his actions be predicted by human behavioral matrixes. He is of course, not a good person. And he probably is not a person after all, but simply a greater arm extension of a greater purer power, called Absolute Utopian Righteousness. Or transnational progressivism, whatever comes first.

I hate the way you think that America is responsible for all good in this world. You’re not.

Is that all they think we got? Perhaps we should disabuse them of such a notion.

I hate your conservative, Jewish-owned media with your O’Reillys and Coulters spouting pro-Bush, Christian (figure that?) propaganda

Hate? Such a person has no understanding of hate. Hate is a power, perhaps the only power, equal to the power of love.It is soaked in our genes, yet its true manifestation comes only through transmutation.

He has no hate, he has no power. Because he has no love, and without love, hate is nothing but the distillation of specific genetic sequences. They mean nothing.

You cannot channel hate and make use of it, without keeping it isolated and mellow. And you cannot do that if you have no feelings of love or protectiveness related to that which you hate. Hate will kill you first, before it ever touches me.

And I hate your disgusting superiority complex, segregating all races except Americans (ye, that’s a race) and f***ing over your neighbours to the south by not allowing them to speak Spanish, and thinking that you are far better than Canada. You’re not.

These are the guys that said Americans should set a higher standard in the world by not torturing, because Americans are better than terroists? Maybe this is the difference between the fanatical cannon fodder on the ground and the high ranking officers in the Democrat party. Two different messages, same kind of people.

    Just one long sustained scream.

Power Word Stun, where the word is the spell itself. Power Word Kill, where it is the same thing.

He believes mercy, compassion, and caring are weak aspects of a person’s character. That they should be purged. The more pure his hate, the more chains he unleashes from himself. He believes himself to be achieving higher orders of power with his purity, his hate that is unpolluted by even a scintilla of good or protectiveness. He believes he is outclassing us, rising to a new level of power and ability. He opently taunts us, “is that all you have, America?”

Here, we have someone who has completely abandoned the pretence that he or she actually has any residual fondness for the country itself or for anything it stands for.

Hate will make you strong. If someone doesn’t come along and purge you from the universe, that is, before you reach that point of godlike powers.

But there’s nothing constructive here. There are no convictions, no ideas (no matter how foul they might be).

Didn’t Washington just need to kill his enemies? Why did he need to build anything, he wasn’t elected, he was just someone appointed as a military leader. There are people, you know, who believe absolute destruction replaces the need to build anything longer lasting. They believe as Robbespiere believed, keep the purity of the party, and all else will follow.

Here be nihilism and it’s not pretty.

Oh, he has a certain charm, I suppose.

Way to overreact over a humourous article that was neither meant to have any substance of fact, nor needed it.

is that all they have in way of defense? I expected better from the Propaganda Apprentices of the Left. They should have learned much better from their Arab Masters.

It seems that anything criticising Jews or even Israel today is considered racist.

Kudos to Juna in finding a way to offhandedly calling me racist. Good beginning. Check mate still goes to me though, since I can personally attest that Bookworm didn’t call me a racist when I criticized Jews and Israel. It seems like anything juna thinks into existence, is thought into existence, you know? Is that all they got?

The fact is America has more haters today than ever.

It is good to be hated, so long as they fear us. To be hated and not feared, is not a good thing. 2 years till Bush goes away, and America throws the dice of absolute power. The game is still in play.

Don’t tell me the readers of bookworm are getting mad at this? Why are people getting mad?

    1) I seem to see lots of gas guzzling SUV’s with liberal bumper stickers on them–I guess they don’t count.

Liberals purge their environmental sins with contributions and environmental balancing. Well, technically only fake liberals do it that well, but whatever.

    2) I’m glad I’m on the side that unabashedly believes in (and practices) gun ownership.

Those Founding Fathers, what were they smoking to see the future, eh?

  25. I did not call you racist… WTF?
Stop making up shit, which you seem to be good at doing….
Your elaborate sentences make your posts almost stupendously unreadable and that doesn’t make you smart…. sentences that make sense are usually best to convey a point (I now realise why you spout that nonsensical bullshit)

Quite frankly, if you took my article seriously, you are fucked up and just as ignorant a person, as the Americans I describe in my post.

  26. Trish is so right. It is impossible for anyone with an ounce of maturity to rant and rave like this. I was never this bad, but in my Bay Area youth I too absorbed a lot of misconceptions. He is warm, safe, dry and lives under freedoms he doesn’t even notice. For just one day I wish he could live as a woman in Saudi Arabia or Iran, or better yet, a dissident who just wrote these same words, “I
hate Iran” etc etc or “I hate N. Korea!” and see what happens in these so much better lands. And I love the idea, just because you say terrible lies about Jews, why do people say you’re an anti-semite? Classic. Can’t be anti-semitism, cause Jews really are that way, doncha know.

  27. Quote me about my lies about Jews in this article?

  28. Scratch one of these primal-scream American haters and you will find someone who suffered great child abuse, was spoiled rotten as a child, is bipolar or is otherwise mentally ill. They don’t rage against their country, they rage against themselves. Not to excuse them, but it is sad, really.

  29. Wow, I suffered great child abuse, was spoiled rotten AND have bipolar disorder… Wow, you’ve enlightened me about how to live my life as a better person!

  30. For such educated people you sure seem to not bring up any points what so ever… There is nothing even vaguely resembling an argument rebutting my article, and yet you seem to spend a lot of time to criticise the certain word in used in line 7.

  31. Personally I don’t care to waste my time “rebutting” your “article,” which is nothing but foul-mouthed hysteria, malice and illogic. I simply don’t take your nonsense seriously, Jumanji.

  32. There’s really nothing to rebut; your “article” is mostly an opinion and doesn’t offer anything to debate.

There is one statement you make that is not an opinion and outright wrong, however, the tan^-1(1degree) comment. It is a nonsensical statement and exhibits a lack of education.

The tangent of an angle is the trigonometric function of an acute angle in a right triangle that is the ratio of the length of the side opposite the angle to the length of the side adjacent to the angle. The tangent of an angle gives a ratio (i.e. unitless) and the arctan of that ratio returns the original angle; ergo, there’s no such thing as an arctan of 1 degree.

    Satisfied?

By the way, what utopian country do you hail from? The way you’re complaining about z’s and u’s, I’d say England or Canada–I’m guessing Canada since your tirade mentions Canada specifically. Ah well, wherever it is, they apparently don’t teach trigonometry.

  33. Danny–
There are many, many people who have suffered abuse as children, are bipolar, or have mental illnesses and yet don’t waste their lives wallowing in hate.
However, I agree that it is sad, and that these haters are really be hating themselves. It must be hell to live like that.

  34. For such educated people you sure seem to not bring up any points what so ever…

It’s called jujitsu. Why should we do all the work, when you’re eager to do it for us?

I did not call you racist… WTF?

See, you’re imbalanced and out of breath already. Soon, checkmate will result by simple expedience.

Stop making up shit, which you seem to be good at doing….

What, you want us to do ninjutsu and grappling too? I need see money before that happening.

Quite frankly, if you took my article seriously, you are fucked up and just as ignorant a person, as the Americans I describe in my post.

Nice propaganda catch 22 by the way. Either you are this way from my article, or if you mistakenly took my article seriously, you are still the way my article describes you as well. How much do terrorists pay for a lesson on propaganda anyways, I’m quite curious to know the going rates so I can compare for my next field of study.

Quote me about my lies about Jews in this article?

    Comment by junaman | September 7, 2006

Need I remind people at Bookworm that this is not a socialist utopia, people do not do other people’s work for free.

Junaman won’t pour over all the times Bookworm or I praised or criticized any of the jews, when he makes statements about us, so why should we? Fair’s fair, you use suicide bombers, we use nukes.

Well, at least I think it is fair.

There is nothing even vaguely resembling an argument rebutting my article,

Man, this is guy is good at the rope a dope. The Arab should hire him, I should email Omar and give juma a recommendation email. First he talks about his article being a joke when Bookworm rebutted it, then he talks about how nobody rebuts his article.

Ninjutsu and illusion, powerful weapons, sometimes even more powerful than bombs and missiles believe it or not.

Ah well, wherever it is, they apparently don’t teach trigonometry.

    Comment by Kevin | September 7, 2006

only war mongers need trig, Kevin, to calculate where the bombs will go. Real enlightened people, Kevin, believe in absolute unbridled power and self-righteousness. Take a course why dontcha, both the fake liberals and the Islamic Jihadists offer it.

  35. Flopping aces got a trackback that refered to you Book, so I suppose lacking the ability to rant there, Juma feels an obsessive need to beard the goat here. I prefer he just send a regular assassination squad, however.

Bloggers are already a little OCD, but a lot of OCD is not a good thing. Is juma just sitting around counting how many people is reading his words or something?

  36. I’d like to see how many Muslim cities the Democrats annihilate, when they control the entire government of the United States. I believe it, all right. The Democrats are ruthless and the party of war as well.

So I plead to you all, when hating somebody, remember to hate not their skin colour, nationality, gender, sexual preference, religion, but their species. Please hate the fact that they are human above all else.

Courtesy of Juma. Funny. Very visualizing stimulating. Propaganda level? Not paying attention, sorry. Illusion doesn’t work if you close your eyes.

The Democrats are populists, correct? Do not populists follow the will of the people, the will of the majority? What is the will of the majority of jumas, I ask you? Pray tell.

Well, at least I think it is fair.”

Obviously I won’t because I never made statements about you being racist, whereas you did… so please point out where I was being racist. Also, stop using ambiguous sentences

My point is that, while my article was obviously a rant, filled with generalisations and stereotyping, it was making a coherent point about your stupid country, which none of you have bothered to rebut…

  39. Regarding trigonometry, I laugh at your frail attempt to disprove my statement using words that I doubt you understand.

“The tangent of an angle is the trigonometric function of an acute angle in a right triangle that is the ratio of the length of the side opposite the angle to the length of the side adjacent to the angle. The tangent of an angle gives a ratio (i.e. unitless) and the arctan of that ratio returns the original angle; ergo, there’s no such thing as an arctan of 1 degree.”

Who says it’s the arctan of 1 degree?

You do realise that 1 is the ratio of 1/1?
Hence, when the tangent of 45degress gives the ratio of 1, the arctan of 1 returns the original angle of 45degrees…

Type it into a calculator and then tell me it doesn’t exist.

  40. Okay, I’m pretty darn tolerant of just about anything said on this blog, as long as it’s not obscenity filled, threatening, or disgusting. However, I’ve just realized that I’m going to have draw the line here — no more math. You all are confusing me!

  41. It’s a simple thing, once you put it into these terms Bookworm. Forget the triangles and which side is which, input into what numerator or demoniator. Tangent and arctangent (otherwise known as tan inverse/tan-1), are simple actions that convert degrees to a ratio, and a ratio to a degree.

I hate you so much that I want to draw a tan^-1(1degree)

So the obvious problem here, Bookworm, is that you cannot take the inverse tangent to the power -1 of a degree. It would give you 45 degrees, because the function only converts numbers to degrees. Regular tan converts degrees or radians to ratios.

For every law there is a place and a context. Defendants cannot prosecute their own clients, and prosecutors cannot defend the party they have charged a crime with.

Who says it’s the arctan of 1 degree?

I’m telling you man. Juma has the rope a dope down. Take lessons from this guy. It’s like he has so much rage of the machine in his head, he can’t figure out which did what to whom.

  42. You were telling me that the function did not exist, now you say it does… hmm….

I was going to edit that last quote out of my comment before i realised there wasn’t an edit comment button…

  43. Once again, type it into a calculator, add a degree symbol and Voila!

  44. junaman-

Thank you so much for the reply, I knew you wouldn’t be able to resist–I just wanted to see how you would try to justify your ignorance.

I’ll try to make this simple; the tangent of an angle is unitless. You are correct that the arctan of 1 is 45 degrees. There is no such thing as the arctan of 1 degree–it’s the arctan of 1. When I put it into my calculator, as you suggest, I enter a digit–not a unit. It would be like saying the arctan of 1 elephant is 45 degrees; it’s nonsensical (go ahead and plug that into YOUR calculator and see what you get.) I stand by my assertion that by making an obtuse statement (that’s trig too in case you don’t get the joke) for the purpose of trying to sound intelligent, you failed.

    Try again.

  45. Oh yes, I forgot to address this bit:

“Regarding trigonometry, I laugh at your frail attempt to disprove my statement using words that I doubt you understand.”

I’m a physicist–what again did you say that you do?

  46. I really need to work at catching all of the points before posting.

“Who says it’s the arctan of 1 degree?”

tan^-1 is called the arctan or the inverse tangent–they’re all the same thing, just a different representation. My suggestion? When you’re in a hole, quit digging–stick to your ridiculous rants since opinions are personal and try to avoid stating facts that can be refuted.

  47. Propaganda is not effective without facts and some truth, you know.

Once again, type it into a calculator, add a degree symbol and Voila!

    Comment by junaman | September 7, 2006

Hehe, what is this guy smoking man? Is he a product of Brit education or something?

Trying to take the tan inverse or arc tangent of a degree is like trying to divide by zero. Calculator will not do it.

Obviously I won’t because I never made statements about you being racist, whereas you did… so please point out where I was being racist.

For the benefit of people who have trouble following the logic, and not so that juma can get off on the response. I’ll simply say that logically speaking, when Juma accused Bookworm of considering people to be racists that criticize Israel or Jews, this included me. But since Bookworm did not in fact consider or call me a racist for criticizing Jews or Israel, then logically speaking, the only person that considers me a racist, is Juma. Because he believes people are called racists by Bookworm, but since Bookworm does not exist in this equation as a valid variable, that only leaves Juma as the controlling variable.

You were telling me that the function did not exist, now you say it does… hmm….

Is that all you got? A pity.

I was going to edit that last quote out of my comment before i realised there wasn’t an edit comment button…

Ja, es gibt keinen guten Propagandaapparat, for the discerning apprentices anyway.

Don’t feel bad Book, lawyers don’t use trigs. Only scientists in research or development, engineers, and electrical technicians make much use of trig in terms of waveforms and statistical graphs.

Since lawyers deal with people, and with laws made by people, they get more benefit from psychology than trig. People do not obey geometric laws after all. Although they do obey quantum laws, amazingly enough.

  48. I’ll bet Junaman also thinks you can write well if you have a spell checker and Grammatik.

  49. Lets now look back at what I said.

“I would also like for you to point out my anti-semitism. It seems that anything criticising Jews or even Israel today is considered racist.”

That’s right, I said that some people consider criticising Israel to be racist, and implying that that is ridiculous. Stop twisting shit and sounding like the propagating moron you accuse me of being.

  50. Ok, Kevin, I was wrong.

However, my calculator still seems to give me the answer of 45 when I type tan^-1(1[degree symbol])

    Why is that?

  51. You guys claim that the anti-American arguments are weak…
Then prove that yours are strong, you cannot criticize anyone for a lack of arguments when on this site amongst all this text I have not read a single argument with merit in favour of your opinions. All you are saying is that the arguments presented by the “anti american left” have no substance.
I encourage you to research before you pass judgement. There are alot of reasons to back up these views. Then please pull your heads out of your arses{yep i spelt arses right! not like a donkey like you American asses seem to
think its spelt!}and take a look at the society that has developed around you in America. Its not pretty and certainly not sustainable.
    kind regards from the “LEFT”

  52. I’d just like to congratulate your great country for two days time.
Well done on setting up a way to go to war
Well done on getting that oil in Iraq to be traded in US$ again.
Well done on pumping your economy full of government cash for your war
well done on fooling all the american gits on this website by making them think that it was “terrorists”

I have to know…do you actually believe that the “terrorists” did September 11?
Or do you acknowledge what alot of people outside your country have coem to accept?
Whats a few lives to further your ramshackle economy eh?

  53. The only thing that matters is power and truth. Power and Truth, as depicted on Flight 93 during September the 11th.

Talking, conversing, they are subtertiary modes of conduct, with limited conductance of energy.

Okay, so far Shirkey has said we were wrong to conclude that juna’s position was without solid arguments, facts, and logic. I.E. without substance. Shirkey tells us not to judge.

I don’t know about the rest of the regular readers of Bookworm, but I find it hard to shut off my brain when reading this self-confession from juna.

Way to overreact over a humourous article that was neither meant to have any substance of fact, nor needed it.

So we’re supposed to “not judge” juna’s arguments as without substance even when he admits it? Woah, that’s metaphysical man, epistemologically outrageous perhaps. Reminds me of Centanni, such lovely permutations and contortions, all designed to praise his captors.

Propaganda apprentices like juna are not maroons, even with their self-confessions. They are rather just that, apprentices, that attempt to appear as the masters of propaganda. Their efforts are…. sub-optimal. It would be best that they keep to themselves, elevate their skill, and then return. Things are currently very embarassing to them considering their lack of demonstrable propaganda ability.

These two are examples of the intellectual caliber of the Left. When the Left goes into power, who is to say that the entire Middle East will not be destroyed by nuclear fire because the leaders listened to the will of such people as these? Do you really want to give such power to politicians and leaders beholden to the beliefs and power of these persons of inimitable character?

I actually looked that word up, and it does exist. How did I know about it? I got some inspiration going on here.

  54. Lack of substance does not mean lack of point.

  55. Flight 93 was the greatest work of propaganda I’ve seen in a long while… how is that “Power and Truth”?

  56. You see what I’m talking about, Book? Apprentices don’t even know the difference between reality and genjutsu, they aren’t fit to operate vast propaganda apparati.

Propagandists must have a precise understanding of the real and the illusion, for their business is to craft illusion from reality and reality from illusion. Their craft is of less quality when the creator himself does not understand the limitations and diverse confluences between reality and illusion. It’s like a metalsmith not knowing the difference between high carbon steel with impurities and low carbon pure steel.

Need I say it? Okay, I will. Fake but accurate only works on amateurs.

  57. junaman-

Your calculator is just making an assumption of what you mean (as I did with your original post.) I figured that’s what you meant but wanted to make a point by arguing one of the only facts you actually presented. Statements that begin with “I hate” can’t really be refuted because you are expressing opinion and in that vein, you are correct as that is personal opinion. Who am I to say that you really don’t hate this or that?

However, you never answered my question of what country do you come from (or currently live in?) I’m curious because what started this whole thing was your rant about America and how we make it easy to stereotype us. Since telling us where you come from won’t in any way compromise your anonymity, I don’t understand your reluctance to allow the people on this site to question you about your country’s international and domestic policies. Or perhaps see you as stereotypical of that country. If you live in a utopia, enlighten us and if not, be prepared to defend YOUR country’s policies. Or are you actually an American posing as someone from some other country–so mad at the impotence of the left’s ability to impose their nonsense on thinking Americans?

Well, which is it? I for one am really interested.

  58. I am from Australia, and I am not here to defend my country, nor do I want to. I know that my country is quite fucked up, you don’t need to point that out to me.

    Ymarsakar, just stfu…

  59. Quick, someone give me a cavalry regiment.

  60. Don’t you have enough nukes?

  61. Since you loved reading that rant so much, here’s another “tribute” I wrote: http://junaman.wordpress.com/2006/09/11/1109-tribute/

  62. I have traveled all over Australia many times and have always enjoyed it, having found most people to be really hospitable and engaging. I also found that in any pub, approximately half had jobs (with a very high tax rate) and half were on the dole (living off the taxes of those who work.) I remember asking one individual why he didn’t work and his heart-felt and sincere sounding response was, “I really want a job but I just can’t find one.” To which I asked, “How long have you been looking?” His response? “Nine years.” Now I can be rather gullible at times but I have a hard time believing that if someone were really motivated to become gainfully employed, he would be able to find work in nine years–especially when a cursory look at the want ads in various papers provided ample evidence that there were jobs to be had. Then there was the girl who had studied at university to become an actress but was instead on the dole. She was incredulous that I would even suggest that perhaps she could take a job other than acting. Her response? “That’s what I studied to be, I have a right to be supported until I can find an acting job!” She got really offended when I said that we can’t all be ballerinas and astronauts; we have a social obligation to take work to support ourselves. I found these incidents to be rather telling of what happens when socialism is adopted as a governmental policy.

That aside, I guess my question to you is if you don’t like your country’s policies, why spend so much time worrying about the United States? I would think your effort would be better spent cleaning your own house–but hey, that’s just me.
