We may be seeing an incipient Nahuatl intifada. I believe some of these folks not only represent an adverse political and cultural movement but have claims on real estate, the Azatlan myth. As some have commented, the U.S. in the 19th century stole half of Mexico, and the half we stole had good roads and plumbing that works.

Ja, like the government demands military recruiters be given equal access on campus. Boy, that'll be hard to circumvent.

Sarcasm aside, anything can be circumvented with enough will and determination. This applies to Berkley as well as other private high colleges. Or was Berkley already a private college?

I don't remember where I saw the article (might have been here for all I recall), but someone made an excellent point about vouchers. If the government is the one responsible for providing vouchers so kids can attend private schools, what happens when the government starts demanding the same things that turned the public schools into a living hell? Think about it. You know the government will start demanding all sorts of things once these schools start taking money from the federal teat. Before you can say "Johnny can't read," ALL of our schools will suck.

I was hearing about the peeps in California failing their HS grad tests, six times in a row, and couldn't even get 60 to pass. Pathetic. Six times? I could have memorized a multiple choice test if I just took it 2 times. 25% is due to luck, so you only need to know 35% of the material, and they didn't even know that to graduate.

The guy arguing that people should ignore the test results, said that those who graduated were rich and those who did not make the tests, were poor. Then he started talking about how these people were from Spanish families and didn't know English.

Ah, now we see deeper into the problem. As the Democrats lower the standards and refuse to make people learn English, they will fail high school. Actually, they've already failed high school graduation tests sourced from Freshman data because they don't know how to read and comprehend the questions.

This is in California. Arizona, might even be worst. This is not a slippery slope. This is an engineered implosion designed to destroy the heart of American power, the future generation. Who is designing it? I tend to think there is no one centralized source, given the collapse of the Soviet Union. This is rather more like open sourced design, using open sourced code that is available to everyone. And everyone can contribute their little individual modules to the collapse of the American education system.
