There is no doubt in my mind that California public schools are being used to brainwash our children. It is very sad that teaching, learning, and applying critical thinking skills to solve problems have been put on the backburner and that molding children to become drones, embrace Groupthink, and the dumbing down of our precious children have become the priorities of our “educational system” these days.

The proposed preschool initiative is a wolf [in the form of tighter government control over our choices in the education of our children] in sheep’s clothing [the alleged benefits of increased schooling and education of our children started at a younger age and overseen by our "benevolent California State government"].

Thanks for posting on this Bookworm. You were quite thorough in explaining the negative repercussions of what does, on the surface, sound nice and all.

I had lost track of following this story. I had followed it for a while, back when Rob Reiner had his hand in it.

I’d be curious to know how they arrived at the 20% figure as well.

Then why is the ACLU making sure that their own board members not only get “no free ACLU counsel” but are also punished for voicing their opinions iF they are critical of the ACLU?

First it was about defending liberties, then it was about defending the liberties of everyone specifically criminals, then it was about destroying anyone that disagrees…

An interesting progression, sorta like “voluntary pre-school” to “forced reeducation camps”.
